June 30 – July 1, 2012, WV Sierra Club's second Marcellus Academy

Deadline: Jul 1, 2012

Details:

Join us at WV Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV for a repeat of last year's entertaining and educational Marcellus Academy!

Please save these dates for this special weekend workshop. Speakers and instructors will train a new cadre of volunteer activists to go forth and raise awareness in their communities about the dangers of Marcellus drilling.  Learn the tactics and the tools needed to effectively building grassroots support for sane, meaningful Marcellus regulations in West Virginia.

These industrial-scale drilling sites are causing major problems with our water, our land, our air and our health.  This training is especially designed for activists who would be willing to organize people on their home turf by holding meetings, giving presentations and organizing house parties.  In essence, they would serve as local leaders in this statewide fight for our civil rights.

All of your expenses for this workshop (lodging, meals and mileage) will be covered by WV Sierra Club.

Please watch for upcoming announcements with details about enrollment and specifics on the program.
