Keeling has amassed a diverse professional background, including government and media relations, writing and reporting, desktop publishing and Web development, among other skill sets. Prior to his position with the wilderness coalition, he served as a public relations consultant for almost three years after working as executive assistant to the West Virginia School Boards Association from 2001 to early 2004. Keeling is one of three directors for the state Public Relations Society of America chapter, an active member of “West Virginia: A Vision Shared’s” image improvement team, and a registered lobbyist with the state Ethics Commission.

One of Jason’s main tasks will be the coordination of the West Virginia Wilderness Coalition’s chapters which include the Southern Mon, Northern Mon, Charleston, Eastern Panhandle and North Central WV. These chapters meet regularly and work locally to move the wilderness initiative forward. If you’d like to be involved in one of these chapters, or start your own, please contact Jason at jason.keeling@wvwild.org or (304) 989-3262.
